Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Winemaking
Caylin Vineyard is located in the picturesque Dry Creek Valley, a viticultural area well known for producing premium Zinfandel. Situated on a hillside bench facing the West, in the Northern part of the valley that is often blanketed in early morning fog and hot sunny days, provides the optimum growing environment.
2016 was a great year for Dry Creek Zinfandel and this wine is a good showcase for that. This Zinfandel displays flavors of blackberry jam, currant and hints of baking spices.
Tasting Notes
River Myst Haven sits in the heart of the beautiful and serene Dry Creek Valley. Our view overlooks the natural splendor created by the Russian River and the surrounding hillsides. The Dry Creek Valley offers a climate that is perfect for growing Zinfandel.
2016 was another ideal growing season. Even though we had low rainfall, the weather could not have been better for making great wine. It was very even from budbreak all the way through to picking. We didn’t have any heat spikes during the growing season.
